National Teams Sports Teams Get Encouragement From Sports Leaders

PHNOM PENH:  His Excellency Sar Sokha, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports and His Excellency Vath Chamroeun, Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia Moradok Techo National Stadium on the morning of March 16, 2022.

Sar Sokha praised the National Sports Training Center for its dedicated efforts to facilitate the training camp in preparation for the 31st SEA Games in May 2022 in Vietnam, as well as to host the event.

 The 32nd SEA Games 2023 are in Cambodia. He emphasized that there are 17 different sporting teams in training at the center Moradok Techo National Stadium, 21 other national teams are in training at each federation and some sports are training abroad.

 “The players have the most important role to play in wearing the national flag and not to gain experience, but to compete for national medals. At the same time, coaches and assistant coaches also play an important role in encouraging athletes to sharpen their training and find shortcomings to fill problems, and orient themselves to participate in medal contests´.

 Vath Chamroeun said that coming together today is a meeting to encourage and reaffirm our mission and goals. This is a place where the dedication of teachers and athletes are recognized and encouraged by the leadership and the nation as a whole to support the efforts to achieve the goal of national medals.

"So, the teachers are the role models in leading the national team players who are the coaches of this advanced sport. "Apart from providing skills, the coaching of the coaches is the most important thing to cultivate the will of the national team to train hard."

Ouk Sithicheat, Director General of Sports, emphasized that the national team athletes are outstanding people who represent our country with 16 million people to fulfill our mission in preparation for the national medal competition from the 2022 SEA Games in Vietnam and the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia.

Therefore, this time, I encouraged the national team of all kinds of sports to work together to achieve good results for the nation. "In order to be effective, there are no shortcuts to go through without going through the rigors of training, so we have to work hard to endure this training to sharpen the quality even more. And achieve our goals.

 These are the main tasks of the Cambodian national team under the encouragement of the Royal Government of Cambodia, as well as the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and the CAMSOC National Committee to promote this mission to be successful.

At the same time, the General Director of Sports also urged all national teams to respect the rules and ethics both during training and when competing as consistently as possible to maintain national dignity and honor.

Mr. Bun Sok, President of the National Sports Training Center, confirmed that the training camp at Moradok Techo National Stadium will last for 8 months and 12 days from January 1 to September 12, 2022, on 17 sports.

There are 67 coaches, 209 assistants, 119 male and 119 female athletes, a total of 412 to train in preparation for the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam and the 32nd SEA Games 2023 in Cambodia.
